Through The Storm

“Survival lies in sanity, and sanity lies in paying attention.” — The Artist’s Way

I’ve been holding onto this quote like a life vest. It’s been echoing in my mind these past few days as I move through another storm. And honestly… that’s what life feels like sometimes, just surviving the waves while trying to stay sane, to stay grounded, to stay here.

We all suffer in different ways. But I believe suffering is part of the calling part of what we came here to experience. It’s the teacher. And how we overcome… that’s something deeply personal. That’s between you and your Creator.

Storms come and go.
But when you stay anchored rooted even as everything around you rages, you begin to see things differently.

There are moments in the storm that feel unbearable the kind of pain that makes you question your worth, your purpose, your existence. It can feel like everyone is against you. Like you’re the outcast. The forgotten one. The ugly duckling.

But I’ve learned… it’s all about perspective.
We don’t get to choose the storm, but we do get to choose how we see it.
And that choice how you move through the pain is everything.

Healing has layers. It’s not linear, and it’s definitely not pretty. But there is strength in simply allowing yourself to feel it. To sit with the storm instead of constantly trying to fight or escape it.

Because like natural disasters, storms don’t ask permission. They tear through everything without warning, without care. And yet… they leave behind space for rebuilding. For truth to settle. For new foundations to be laid.

That’s what I’m learning.
To allow it.
To feel it.
To stay anchored in what I know, even when nothing makes sense.

And to remember that I don’t have to do it alone.
There are good people. Real love. Safe support systems.
Even when your mind tells you the world is against you, your heart still deserves the chance to be held.

The ache might not vanish.
But the perspective shifts.
And in that shift… there’s peace.
There’s purpose.
There’s HERTRUTH.
